For chefs Szabina Szulló and Tamás Széll, Hungarian cuisine needs to be celebrated. They have built a community of producers, collectors, and farmers to ensure consistent quality.


In 2007, the couple, both chefs, started working at Onyx. This famous restaurant was awarded one Michelin star in 2011. In 2016, they left Onyx to open Stand25 Bisztró in 2017, aiming to create a place for families to meet and enjoy traditional and modern Hungarian cuisine in a family atmosphere. In 2018, their second restaurant, the fine-dining Stand, received a star just nine months later.

French technology is evident. The bright red beef stew is light, and the salty lemon preserves add a welcome tartness. The foie gras melts in your mouth with some English celery and mustard seeds.

Great emphasis on sustainable development, terroir, working together with Hungarian producers and, most importantly, taste and flavours.

Hungarian gastronomy is full of possibilities, and from the very start they have felt that showcasing it in all its beauty and diversity is of the utmost importance. This is what they strive at their restaurants. The very same precision, accuracy and elegance that they go about their work at their restaurants as well. they place great emphasis on sustainable development, terroir, working together with Hungarian producers and, most importantly, taste and flavours.

Their menu attempts to primarily reflect the possibilities afforded by Hungarian ingredients, showcasing their notion of Hungarian cuisine, while ensuring that it meets all the expectations of modern times and contemporary gastronomy. They offer simple, well-thought-out dishes, focusing on balanced flavours and harmonising ingredients.

No compromises in terms of quality

They make no compromises in terms of quality but, at the same time, their goal is for guests to have a long-lasting experience in a comfortable and tranquil environment. Their kitchen is a place of dynamic and passionate work, and their dishes are presented without pomp and circumstance, accompanied by the very best Hungarian and European wines.

Several members of their young and highly committed team have been working with them for years. Having a common journey and goal is crucial, as they affirmed “This is the only way we can provide our guests with the most comprehensive experience possible”.
