The young talent, Marleen Brouwer, worked in the kitchens of starred restaurants at home and abroad before conquering Drenthe.
At her beautiful thatched farmhouse De Loohoeve in Schoonloo, she has been pursuing her dream since 2014: pampering guests with top-quality food in an affordable atmosphere.
Marleen taking care of bread and pastry, among other things. In addition, Marleen fulfills the role of hostess in the restaurant and together they manage the 12-room hotel.
The refreshing, unorthodox approach and the high standard of the kitchen do not go unnoticed. Marleen was named Hostess of the Year 2019 by Gault & Millau and the kitchen was awarded 16/20 points that year. In Lekker500, De Loohoeve nestles in the top 100 and in December 2018 the couple received their first Michelin star.
De Loohoeve was named JRE restaurant of the year 2019 and finally she was seen in the documentary series “De Nieuwe Garde”.
