German chef Christian Bau blends classical French cuisine with Japanese influences, leading Victor’s Fine Dining at Schloss Berg and earning acclaim for precision, innovation, and refined technique.
Born in Baden, Christian Bau discovered his passion for cooking at a young age—at just fourteen. He completed his apprenticeship in Achern as the best of his class. After gaining valuable experience at Talmühle in Sasbachwalden and later at Le Canard in Offenburg, he secured a position at the renowned Schwarzwaldstube in Baiersbronn. Here, as a sous-chef, he embraced the essence of classic cuisine, which continues to influence his craft today.
Since April, Christian Bau has been the head chef and host at Victor’s Fine Dining by Christian Bau at Schloss Berg in Perl-Nennig, Moselle. In his restaurant, he combines the precision of modern techniques with the timeless tradition of French cuisine, seamlessly integrating the exceptional products and flavors of Japan.
His innovative approach reflects a perfect balance between classic culinary foundations and contemporary refinement, offering guests an unforgettable dining experience.
