Daniel Gottschlich is the owner and head chef of two acclaimed restaurants, PULS and Ox&Klee, the latter of which has achieved international renown. At Ox&Klee, Gottschlich has pioneered the innovative dining concept „Experience Taste,” which explores the six fundamental taste qualities—sweet, sour, umami, salty, bitter, and fat—through a 12-course menu designed to engage all five senses.
This distinctive approach integrates ingredients, aromas, and sounds to create a multisensory culinary experience, showcasing Gottschlich’s expertise and passion for redefining taste. Recognized as Germany’s leading authority on flavor, he has crafted a reputation for pushing the boundaries of gastronomy.
In 2023, Gottschlich became the first chef to receive a short-term scholarship at the prestigious German Academy Villa Massimo in Rome, an institution with over 120 years of history supported by the Federal Republic of Germany.
Beyond the kitchen, Gottschlich is also a passionate musician, blending his culinary creativity with musical expression in various artistic projects. His innovative concepts and dedication to the craft continue to elevate the dining experience to new heights.
