Since 2020, Austrian-born Daniel Zeindlhofer has led the kitchen at IGNIV by Andreas Caminada in Zurich.
IGNIV, meaning „nest” in Rhaeto-Romanic, reflects a unique fine dining sharing concept where dishes are served in small bowls and plates for guests to share, creating a warm, communal experience. Zeindlhofer’s culinary journey began in 2009 when, at just 21, he joined Andreas Caminada at Schloss Schauenstein after two years under Thomas Dorfer at Landhaus Bacher in Wachau.
He honed his skills as sous-chef in Fürstenau before leading the VISTA restaurant in Sagogn for four years. At IGNIV Zurich, he has brought his expertise to new heights, achieving 17 GaultMillau points.
The IGNIV Zurich team also received the 2022 Michelin Service Award for restaurant manager Ines Triebenbacher, Zeindlhofer’s wife. Beyond the kitchen, Daniel enjoys music, cars, and private cooking.
