David and Anna Posey are the husband-and-wife team behind Elske, a celebrated restaurant they opened together in Chicago’s West Loop in December 2016. David discovered his love for cooking at the age of ten, experimenting under his mother’s guidance. During high school, he worked in a local restaurant, solidifying his passion for the culinary arts. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, he worked under Grant 

Achatz at Trio and Alinea in Chicago, where he refined his skills and developed his innovative approach to food. Anna, with a background in painting and drawing from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, fell in love with pastry after a stint at Le Bec Fin in Philadelphia. She later attended the French Pastry School in Chicago and honed her craft at 

renowned establishments such as Everest, Blackbird, and the Publican. At Elske, the Poseys combine their talents—David’s culinary expertise and Anna’s artistic touch—to create a dining experience that is both creative and approachable. Their work has earned widespread acclaim, reflecting their shared passion for blending artistry and gastronomy.
