Lisiane Arouca and Fabrício Lemos are leading figures in contemporary Brazilian gastronomy, celebrated for their commitment to local culture, sustainability and innovation. Her refined yet expressive pastry style is deeply rooted in regional ingredients and traditions.
Chef Fabrício Lemos, also from Salvador, trained at Le Cordon Bleu and built an international career in luxury hospitality in the United States, specialising in Mediterranean, Italian, French and Spanish cuisines. Upon returning to Brazil, he focused on reinterpreting Bahian cuisine through a contemporary lens.
In 2016, the couple co-founded Origem, which has since earned major national and international accolades for its ingredient-driven approach. They later expanded their vision with Ori, Minibar Gem, Omí and Segreto Ristorantino. Together, they also founded the Ori Institute, an initiative dedicated to sustainable development, food sovereignty and cultural preservation through community collaboration, education and innovative product development, reinforcing their role as culinary leaders and agents of change.
