Fatih Tutak is a Turkish chef and founder of TURK in Istanbul, known for reinterpreting traditional Turkish cuisine through global experience, modern techniques, and a deep respect for local ingredients.
Fatih Tutak, born in Istanbul in 1985, gained experience in renowned restaurants worldwide. His passion for cooking was sparked at the family table, where he enjoyed dishes prepared by his mother. This led him to study at the prestigious culinary school in Mengen, known for training Turkey’s top chefs. After apprenticeships in leading Istanbul restaurants, including
under Paul Pairet at the Ritz-Carlton, he set out to explore Asian cuisine. He worked in China, Singapore, Japan, and Denmark, completing a stage at Nihonryori Ryugin in Tokyo and Noma in Copenhagen. He then continued his career in Hong Kong and Thailand, where, as head chef of The Dining Room at The House on Sathorn, he introduced a new approach
to Turkish cuisine. Returning to Turkey in 2019 allowed him to rediscover its flavors and ingredients. He opened TURK FATIH TUTAK, reinterpreting traditional dishes with respect for history and local produce, creating a modern vision of Turkish cuisine.
