Jiří Zajíček was born on 28 August 1987 in Brno, Czech Republic. Inspired by his older brother, also a chef, choosing a culinary path came naturally to him. After graduating from the Culinary School in Brno, he began building his career in gastronomy.
Although he has never worked in star-rated restaurants, Jiří’s dedication, discipline, and commitment to continuous improvement have earned him respect as one of the leading chefs in both Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
In 2023, he expanded his career to Slovakia, becoming Executive Chef of the newly opened restaurant ARTE. Within a year, his leadership and creative approach led the restaurant to receive the prestigious Gault&Millau 3 Toques distinction. In 2025, he was further recognised with a Knife award at an international culinary event celebrating outstanding chefs worldwide.
Jiří continues to refine his craft with passion, shaping a cuisine rooted in precision, elegance, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence.
