Mina Güçlüer is a Turkish-German chef and the head chef of Belon in Hong Kong, known for her refined French technique and the Mediterranean influences drawn from her heritage. Born in Istanbul to a Turkish father and German mother, she grew up in a family closely connected to restaurant culture, developing an early appreciation for food, craftsmanship and hospitality.
She trained in Berlin through a rigorous culinary apprenticeship, gaining experience in some of Germany’s most respected fine-dining kitchens, including Victor’s Fine Dining by Christian Bau and Horváth. These years shaped her disciplined approach, technical precision and creative confidence.
In 2019, Güçlüer moved to Hong Kong to join Belon, where she quickly distinguished herself. Rising through the brigade, she eventually became head chef, making her one of the youngest women to lead a top fine-dining restaurant in the city. Her cooking at Belon balances elegance and generosity, creating dishes that are both thoughtfully crafted and deeply enjoyable.
