Besele Moses Moloi, a trailblazer in South Africa’s culinary scene, has over a decade of experience crafting exceptional dining experiences. After earning an International Advanced Diploma in Culinary Arts from Olive Chefs School in Bloemfontein, he launched his career at The Marine Hotel in Hermanus. A pivotal moment came with an internship at the Ritz Carlton in Naples, Florida, where he refined his skills under acclaimed chefs George Fistrovich and Juan Pablo De la Sota.
Upon returning to South Africa, Moses joined The Greenhouse under Peter Tempelhoff, advancing to Junior Sous Chef in four years. His expertise grew further at The Saxon Hotel, where he became Sous Chef at Grei.
In 2021, Moses opened Zioux, a Marble Group restaurant, receiving accolades including two EatOut stars. Currently, he is co-owner and Executive Chef at GIGI Restaurant and Consulting Chef at Ethos, showcasing contemporary South African cuisine. Named Best Chef in South Africa 2024, Moses continues to redefine culinary excellence with innovation and passion.
