Riccardo Camanini is an Italian chef and co-founder of Lido 84 on Lake Garda, known for refined cuisine rooted in technique, French influence, and deep respect for ingredients and dining experience.
Italian Chef Riccardo Camanini, from a small village near Bergamo, found his calling in the culinary world at 19 while working under Gualtiero Marchesi. His passion for food as an art form grew, inspiring him to explore the depths of fine dining. Seeking to broaden his perspective, Riccardo worked in the UK with Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons
and in Paris with Jean-Louis Nomicos at La Grande Cascade, focusing on French classical cuisine. At 24, Riccardo returned to Italy as head chef of Villa Fiordaliso, a gourmet hotel-restaurant on Lake Garda. In 2014, he and his brother Giancarlo realized their dream by opening Lido 84 in a refurbished lakeside building. They preserved the retro charm of the
old lido while infusing the décor with Art Deco elements and inspiration from Federico Fellini’s works. At Lido 84, Riccardo’s philosophy is rooted in respect for ingredients, techniques, and a holistic dining experience, where every detail counts to honor both the food and the customers.
