He first gained widespread recognition as the founder and head chef of Beluga in Maastricht, which he led for more than two decades, earning significant national and international acclaim and numerous industry honours for its creativity and precision.

Following this success, he opened Brut172 in the Limburg village of Reijmerstok, realising his ambition to create a restaurant immersed in nature and centred on purity, craftsmanship and immersive dining.
