Bio

Her culinary path began in Italy in 2004, when she moved to Cervinia for a winter season and fell in love with its culture and ingredients. In 2008, she returned to Sweden to formally study culinary arts, further refining her skills and deepening her understanding of food as both craft and art.

Amanda’s career has taken her around the world: she trained at Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck in England and later worked as a private chef in San Francisco and Hong Kong, experiences that shaped her cosmopolitan approach to cuisine.

In 2013, she and her husband opened Wood in Cervinia – a restaurant that reflects their shared passion for authenticity, sustainability, and creativity. Her talent and vision have since earned Wood international recognition, making it one of Italy’s most unique mountain dining destinations. Outside the kitchen, Amanda continues to nurture her love for painting, music, and reading.
