Born in 1977, Chef Andrea Aprea grew up in a family of Neapolitan restaurateurs and discovered his passion for gastronomy at age 15. Driven by curiosity and a desire to broaden his horizons, he traveled extensively, gaining experience in London, Kuala Lumpur, Florence, and Milan, refining both his culinary and cultural perspective.
His early career included leadership roles at prestigious hotels and restaurants in Italy and abroad, where he developed his signature style focused on creativity, quality, and innovation. In 2007, he became Executive Chef at Hotel Romeo in Naples, leading the kitchen with vision and skill. In 2010, he revitalized the Park Hyatt Milan’s culinary program, earning critical acclaim and recognition for his inventive approach.
Over the years, Aprea became known for his dedication to seasonal Italian ingredients, mentorship of young chefs, and the ability to combine tradition with modern techniques. In July 2022, he launched his own venture, opening Ristorante Andrea Aprea inside Fondazione Rovati, continuing his mission to elevate Italian cuisine and offer extraordinary, thoughtfully curated dining experiences to an international audience.
