Begoña Rodrigo, born in 1975 in Valencia, Spain, is the chef and owner of La Salita. Her path to culinary excellence was an unexpected one: originally pursuing industrial engineering, she later discovered a passion for cooking that changed the course of her life. She began her career in kitchens across Europe, including the Hotel Karel V in the Netherlands and Aquarium in London, before returning to Valencia in 2004 to help her sister open La Salita.
At La Salita, Rodrigo blends international influences with the essence of the Mediterranean, using locally sourced ingredients – many from her own garden. Her distinctive style and creative approach have earned her widespread recognition and numerous culinary accolades, including national awards celebrating her artistry and innovation.
