She moved to New York City to open Cosme as Executive Chef, where she quickly gained recognition as one of the city’s leading culinary talents. Her work earned her the James Beard Foundation’s Rising Star Chef of the Year award, marking her as one of the most promising chefs of her generation.

Success continued with the opening of Atla, where she served as Executive Chef and Partner. The restaurant was later named Time Out’s Restaurant of the Year, solidifying her reputation for bringing modern Mexican cuisine to a wider audience.

Daniela has been featured in Forbes 30 Under 30, Crain’s 40 Under 40, and was named among the Most Exciting Chefs by both The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.

She was recently honored by the Consulate of Mexico for her contributions to promoting Mexican culture abroad. Today, Daniela remains a globally recognized industry leader and is preparing to open her newest project, Rubra, in Mexico.
