David Castro Hussong is a Mexican chef who began his culinary journey at the age of 13. He graduated from „The French Culinary” and went on to train in some of the world’s most renowned restaurants, including Noma in Copenhagen, Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Eleven Madison Park in New York City, and Cala in San Francisco.

In 2018, he took on the role of executive chef at Fauna Restaurant in Valle de Guadalupe, where he showcased his talent for innovative and sustainable cooking. Building on his success, in 2020, he launched Bruma Wine Garden, and in 2022, he opened El Tigre in Mexico City. His most recent project, La Morocha, opened in Ensenada in 2023, marking his first venture in the region.

Throughout his career, Castro Hussong has been recognized for his ability to blend traditional Mexican ingredients with modern techniques. He is known for his deep connection to the local terroir and commitment to sustainability, which have defined the ethos of his restaurants. His ventures continue to push the boundaries of Mexican cuisine, earning admiration from both critics and diners alike.
