Hoàng Tùng is widely regarded as one of the most influential young chefs in Vietnam, recognised for his role in shaping a new chapter of the country’s contemporary gastronomy. Originally trained in economics, his path took a decisive turn through formative experiences in Nordic kitchens, where he developed a disciplined, ingredient-driven approach. In 2018, he returned to Vietnam to open T.U.N.G dining in Hanoi, introducing the country’s first tasting-menu format and helping redefine the local fine-dining landscape.
Since its opening, T.U.N.G dining has received significant international acclaim and numerous industry accolades, establishing Hoàng Tùng as the youngest Vietnamese chef to achieve major regional recognition at an early age. His personal achievements mirror this success: he has been celebrated among Vietnam’s most promising young leaders, awarded national Chef of the Year honours, and named among Asia’s most influential culinary figures.
In 2021, he expanded his vision with Å by TUNG in Ho Chi Minh City. Guided by perseverance, creativity and quiet conviction, Hoàng Tùng continues to champion a modern Vietnamese culinary identity, bringing the spirit and evolution of his country’s cuisine to an international audience.
