Isa Mazzocchi was born in Borgonovo Val Tidone, Italy, in 1968. After graduating from the Magnaghi Hotel School in Salsomaggiore Terme, she refined her skills working alongside chef Georges Cogny and later broadened her experience through formative stages with some of Italy’s most respected chefs. At just 18, she earned early recognition by winning a bronze medal at an international competition for young chefs in Nice.
In 1989, Isa and her sister Monica took over the family trattoria in the village of Bilegno, transforming it into La Palta, a restaurant deeply rooted in local tradition and hospitality. Throughout her career, Isa has continuously challenged herself through advanced training and professional development, shaping a personal culinary style closely connected to her Piacenza heritage.
Her work has been widely celebrated by leading food critics and guides, earning numerous national and international accolades, including recognition among the most influential female chefs in Italy. Alongside her restaurant work, Isa is a respected educator, teaching at renowned culinary institutions and speaking at major gastronomic conferences worldwide.
