
Chef Junghyun ‘JP’ Park is a Seoul-born, New York City-based chef recognized for his innovative approach to Korean cuisine.
He is the founder of several celebrated restaurants in New York, including Atomix, Atoboy, NARO, and Seoul Salon, each offering a modern take on traditional Korean flavors. With an academic background in Food Sciences, Chef Park has dedicated his career to advancing Korean cuisine, blending traditional techniques with contemporary methods. He is a key figure in the “New Korean” culinary movement, continually researching and developing ways to evolve Hansik (Korean food) for a global audience.
In 2023, Chef Park published his first cookbook, Korea: The Cookbook (Phaidon Press), which presents a comprehensive look at the breadth of Korean culinary traditions. Through his restaurants and written work, Chef Park is committed to showcasing Korean flavors on the global stage, combining innovation with a deep respect for tradition.
