His culinary heritage is deeply rooted in family tradition, as his grandfather was the owner and chef of a renowned North Korean restaurant, an influence that shaped his respect for authenticity and flavour.
Kwon studied culinary science at Kyung Hee University, where he developed a strong technical and theoretical understanding of gastronomy.
