Salam Daqqaq is a Palestinian-born chef and restaurateur celebrated for her deeply personal and soulful interpretation of Levantine cuisine. Born in Palestine and raised in Jordan, she later moved to the UAE, carrying with her the flavours, traditions, and hospitality learned from her mother, Maryam, who remains her greatest inspiration. In 2017, Salam founded Bait Maryam in Dubai, a restaurant that quickly became known for its honest, home-style cooking rooted in family recipes and cultural storytelling. 

The restaurant’s warm approach to hospitality and its celebration of Levantine heritage earned Salam widespread recognition, including major regional awards that named her among the most influential female chefs in the Middle East and North Africa. She later expanded her vision with Sufret Maryam, a refined dining concept that elevates traditional dishes while preserving their emotional and cultural essence. 

Salam’s cuisine is guided by memory, generosity, and respect for tradition, using food as a means to share identity and create community. Through her work, Salam Daqqaq continues to champion Levantine culinary culture on an international stage, blending authenticity with contemporary expression.
