Sara Aqel, a 28-year-old Palestinian chef, was born and raised in Jordan in a family that communicated their emotions through food. From a young age, she discovered her passion for cooking, which led her to pursue a professional career in the culinary world. After high school, Sara studied at the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, Les Roches, specializing in Culinary Arts and Hotel Management. She was selected for a prestigious internship at The Hong Kong Jockey Club, standing out as the only student chosen among 40 applicants.
Sara’s career path led her to work in renowned Middle Eastern establishments such as La Capitale at the Four Seasons, Al Muntaha at Burj Al Arab, and most notably with Michelin-starred chef Massimo Bottura at Torno Subito. It was during her time with Bottura that she developed a deep passion for Italian cuisine, blending it with her own cooking style.
Currently, Sara brings her diverse experiences and unique approach to Fi’lia, where she continues to stay true to her culinary roots while exploring the endless possibilities of flavor and technique.
