Allen Hyunmin Suh’s culinary journey began while studying hospitality management at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he discovered a deep passion for cooking. He went on to gain extensive experience in some of the most acclaimed kitchens across Las Vegas, San Francisco and New York, joining Daniel Humm’s team at Eleven Madison Park in 2013.
During his time there, Allen refined his craft and steadily progressed to the role of sous chef, led by a strong commitment to precision and excellence. After spending 17 years abroad, Allen returned to Korea, where he was entrusted with opening L’Impression in Seoul. The restaurant achieved major critical acclaim in its first year, firmly establishing him as a leading figure in contemporary gastronomy.
In 2021, he opened Restaurant Allen, a more personal project that allows him to fully express his culinary philosophy and creative vision. Known for his thoughtful, innovative approach, Allen continues to shape memorable dining experiences and build a growing international reputation.
