Shantanu Mehrotra is an Indian chef best known as the Executive Chef of Indian Accent in New Delhi, one of the country’s most celebrated restaurants, where he has led the kitchen since it opened in 2009. He joined the Old World Hospitality group in 1999 and has over two decades of experience in the culinary world. 

At Indian Accent, Mehrotra is known for crafting inventive menus that blend traditional Indian flavours with contemporary techniques, presenting dishes that are both rooted in memory and forward‑thinking in execution. Originally from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh, he trained in classical French and modern cooking before rising through the ranks to lead one of India’s most talked‑about fine‑dining kitchens. 

Mehrotra worked closely with his mentor and the restaurant’s pioneering chef before assuming full creative leadership, bringing his own voice to Indian Accent’s evolving culinary story. His cuisine emphasizes balance, storytelling, and deep respect for India’s diverse regional tastes, earning acclaim from diners and critics alike and contributing to Indian cuisine’s global presence.
