His restaurant quickly became one of Japan’s most recognised culinary destinations, earning repeated international acclaim over the years and standing out as a leading restaurant from the Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kyushu regions. His work has been honoured by several major global guides and award platforms, further establishing his reputation as a pioneering figure in contemporary Japanese–French cuisine.
After two decades of success, La Maison de la Nature Goh closed in 2022 for relocation. That same year, Chef Fukuyama launched Goh, his refined flagship restaurant, and GohGan, a collaborative concept with Bangkok-based chef Gaggan Anand, bringing together Japanese and progressive Asian influences.
Beyond his restaurants, Chef Fukuyama oversees the cuisine for the Heisei Chikuho Railway’s “Kotokoto” dining train, teaches for the Seibu Gas Cooking Club, and is the author of Goh’s French-Style Snacks. He continues to appear frequently in media and publications, sharing his distinctive culinary vision.
