Food and Peace

On the first panel of the Area Talks, we discussed “Food and Peace” subject. Considering the recent events in the world, this topic seems particularly important to us. The discussion panel was attended by: Diego Guerrero (DStage, Spain), Fatmata Binta (Fulani Kitchen, Sierra Leone), Alex Atala (D.O.M., Brazil), Alena Solodovichenko (Sfumato and Soiree, Dubai) and Geeta Bansal (The Salty Magazine, USA). The panel was moderated by Rafael Tonon (Eater, Brazil). Questions were asked about how gastronomy can promote peace and create practical actions to make our communities more peaceful.

Not politically correct discussion

During the second part of this year’s Area Talks event, we raised a very important topic with our guests. Eric Vildgaard (Jordnær, Denmark), Leonor Espinosa (Leo, Colombia), Alexandra Forbes (GQ Brasil), Dabiz Muñoz (DiverXO, Spain), and Małgosia Minta (Vogue, Poland) honored us with their presence. The moderator was the irreplaceable Rafael Tonon (Eater, Brazil). We touched on the different topic of political correctness – sustainability: economic and environmental, gender equality and many more.
