The results of The Best Chef Awards 2020 had been announced at the first virtual show. In the online presence of the international gastronomy community, chef René Redzepi won The Best Chef Top100 Award powered by Perlage, followed by chef Björn Frantzen (last year’s winner) in second and chef Dan Barber (who also wins two additional awards) in third place. The 2020-list features 34 new chefs from 31 countries worldwide, out of which Spain performs best with its 15 chefs.


Food Meets Science – is science necessary for gastronomy? Does gastronomy use science on a daily basis? Of course! Science and gastronomy are areas that definitely go hand in hand. During this year’s Food Meets Science, you were able to find out more about it through cooking demonstrations as well as speeches by amazing chefs and scientists. The main topics were sustainability and the latest technologies and innovative devices from the world of fine dining.


Area Talks – four inspiring discussion panels with experts from around the world sharing inspirational ideas, innovative solutions, and exciting experiences – this is just a short summary of what awaited you on September 22nd. We connected live with chefs, journalists, foodies, and marketers from all continents. We were discussing current topics as well as universal content. Be prepared for “politically not correct discussions”!
