THE BEST CHEF AWARDS 2023 WAS HELD IN YUCATAN, MEXICO
For the first time in its history, The Best Chef traveled outside Europe to celebrate its seventh edition on 18, 19, and 20 November. The announcement of the world’s best chef was the highlight of the event, during which incredible talks, debates, demonstrations and show cooking took place under the topic “Origins & Future”.

Awards Gala
This year’s Gala was an extraordinary experience full of colors and flavors. In Centro Internacional de Congresos de Yucatán we learned that Dabiz Muñoz, third year in a row, is the Best Chef in the world! The second and third place went to Albert Adrià and Ana Roš!

Food Meets Science
Food Meets Science – is science necessary for gastronomy? Does gastronomy use science daily? Of course! Science and gastronomy are areas that definitely go hand in hand. This year Food Meets Science took place on November 19th. We witnessed the great presentations, cooking demonstrations and speeches by amazing chefs and scientists! All that in Centro Internacional de Congresos de Yucatán!

Area Talks – hot discussions, universal topics, and current issues, and politically not correct zone – yes, it is Area Talks – this year on the 18th of November.
Inspiring discussions with experts from around the world sharing inspirational ideas, innovative solutions, and exciting experiences – this is just a summary of what we heard and saw in Yucatán. We listened to chefs, journalists, foodies, and marketers from all continents. We discussed current topics as well as universal content in El Pinar.
