Orio Castro Forns – Eduard Xatruch Cerro – Mateu Casañas Puignau

Open since December 2014, the restaurant Disfrutar (in English “Enjoy”) arose after years of intense work at elBulli. Mateu Casañas, Oriol Castro and Eduard Xatruch met there and trained professionally, and after reaffirming the work done at Compartir opened in April 2012 in Cadaqués.

Located in the Eixample, just in front of the Ninot Market, the premises are also surprising due to their design. Respect for the history and legacy of the Mediterranean are the inspiration. Ceramic is the common theme marking the interior. The entrance area is inspired by Barcelona, by the wrought iron of the Ninot Market and the colors of Mironian ceramics. The central corridor, made from ceramic, goes through the kitchen which is completely visible to guests, and leads to the main dining room. This is inspired by small fishing villages and stands out as a bright, white space. It transports one outside the city and connects with the terrace.

Creativity and emotion as a fundamental argument of gastronomy

To be able to move it in a personalized way, in all kinds of places and adapting to each event and each person, Disfrutar has achieved, through its creative potential applied especially from its culinary line, not only faithfully translating its elaborations into this new format, but amplify the essential flavors, the “wow” textures, the fun in each bite, the surprise in each presentation. With formats and staging for any situation.

“We will continue to believe in who we are and cook as we know how, without giving up anything that has been built so far, and with the search for excellence and customer service as the backbone of our project.”

Disfrutar

In short, surprisingly Mediterranean premises, with an intimate and welcoming manner, and creative cuisine designed to “Disfrutar”. Pure emotion.
